Hopefully, anyone visiting this site will have gained a better understanding of the 4th Wiltshires proud history and how the men in 1944/45 were equipped. We hope that you will also have gained an insight into the Group‘s activities, our philosophy and the type of group we are. These additional photographs from events past and present will no doubt help to reinforce that.
Aswell as our events and displays, over the years we’ve spent together, the Group has been fortunate enough to visit locations in Normandy, Holland and in Germany.
This includes the DDay Beaches, Longues sur Mere, Merville, Pegasus Bridge, Arromanche, Bayeux, Tilly sur Seulles, Villers Bocage, Cheux, Hill 112, Maltot, Chateau de la Fontaine, Mt Pincon, Falaise, Vernon, Nijmegen, Oosterbeek, Arnhem and the Mohne and Sorpe Dams.
Every trip brings new perspectives and learnings but it is the sheer feeling of “being there” that means so much. Hopefully these pictures will again help to recreate some of that atmosphere.
